How to Become an ED Global Academy Instructor
ED Global Academy seeks instructors with excellent communication skills, hands-on technical experience, and deep expertise in their field. While a degree, advanced training, and teaching experience are highly preferred, we are primarily looking for individuals who are passionate about teaching and who can commit to a minimum of 6 weeks of teaching per year (with a preference for 8-14 weeks).
Our Selection and Training Process:.
Initial Interview
The first step is an interview to assess your communication skills and ability to convey your knowledge effectively. This ensures you are capable of delivering high-quality instruction to our students.
Course Author Interview
Next, candidates meet with a course author who evaluates their technical expertise and practical experience to ensure they are well-suited to teach the specific course.
Train-the-Trainer Program
All candidates go through our intensive "Train-the-Trainer" program. In this program, they learn the latest active learning techniques. To successfully complete the program, candidates must deliver three course presentations and receive excellent evaluations.
Course Audit
Successful candidates audit the course they will teach, presenting portions of the content to be evaluated by a senior instructor to assess their teaching readiness.
Co-Teaching
The most successful candidates then co-teach a course with an experienced instructor, acting as their mentor. During this phase, they will present at least half of the course for further evaluation.
Solo Teaching
Finally, once the candidate has demonstrated proficiency, they are assigned to teach solo. Following the course, attendees complete detailed evaluations, which are used to identify areas for ongoing development and improvement.
