IDBA Curriculum at Ed Global Academy
The Integrated Doctorate of Business Administration (IDBA) with Ed Global Academy, is a comprehensive program designed to provide students with a blend of rigorous coursework, research experience, and doctoral-level training. The IDBA curriculum spans four years and includes 17 modules along with a mandatory final project or thesis. The course carries a total of 240 credit hours.
Course Work
The first phase typically spans the first semester and focuses on foundational coursework in research methods, both quantitative and qualitative techniques. During this phase, students select their research topic and are assigned a supervisor or research faculty member. Multiple seminars and presentations are held during this phase to foster academic growth.
Research Lab
The second and third semesters form the research lab phase, where students focus on data collection, analysis, and the submission of their research synopsis. Students are required to submit a progress report every six months. This phase also includes seminars and presentations to guide students through the research process.
Doctoral Thesis
The fourth to sixth semesters focus on writing the doctoral thesis. This phase includes the thesis write-up, committee reviews, revisions, oral defenses (viva voces), and the final award of the doctorate. Throughout all phases, students will receive guidance and supervision from their assigned supervisor or research faculty.
Segment I
The first segment involves coursework at the MBA level, along with a mandatory project or assignment. Students will engage in rigorous academic work while applying their learning to real-world business situations.
Segment II
The second segment focuses on the DBA level, where students undertake extensive doctoral research. This research broadens their knowledge and contributes to the advancement of the business field through original contributions. Students will be required to produce an academic research thesis that meets the standards of the academic environment.
